Ong Ai-Lyn currently heads the firm’s Commercial, Corporate & Conveyancing Department. She began her legal career at a criminal set at Lincoln’s Inn Fields in London. She was also actively involved as a volunteer with the Free Representation Unit during her time in London. Upon her admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah & Sarawak in Sarawak in 1993, she continued to be involved in various litigation matters in the areas of criminal breach of trust, fraud, handling stolen goods, automobile theft, debt recovery, banking litigation, matrimonial proceedings, probate, amongst others, gradually branching into Conveyancing and Corporate matters eventually. She was invited to spearhead the firm, Goh and Partners (as it was known then) in 1997 and the key person in merging with Loke King and Company in 2002 to what is known today as Loke King Goh and Partners Advocates. Since then, she has been advising on various corporate, banking, real estate transactions, probate and administration of estate, land and immigration matters within the legal framework of Sarawak.
Ong Ai-Lyn's established client base consists of local and internationally based individuals and companies and has in particular extensive experience acting for local and international companies across diverse sectors in connection with site acquisitions, disposals, investment and hotels, and various commercial and residential property projects and developments.
Apart from her corporate and commercial experience, Ong Ai-Lyn is also well-versed with the local immigration laws, specifically in relation to the immigration process and naturalisation procedures, and has assisted various corporations on immigration matters. Her knowledge and expertise on local land laws of Sarawak have been regularly sought after by West Malaysian law firms and MNCs seeking to have a presence in Sarawak and is often a speaker for the Malaysian Institute of Real Estate Agents for the paper relating to the Land Laws of Sarawak compulsory for the accreditation and licensing of real estate negotiators. She also regularly advises local and foreign individuals on wills and probate matters, providing services as an appointed trustee and administrator of estate
