Stella Maria Chin Phui Lian

Stella qualified as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in Sarawak in 1987, and is a partner in litigation. She was previously trained with and practised at Goh & Partners, before it merged and became the firm as it stands today.

Throughout her more than 30 years of litigation practice, Stella’s practice covers a wide range of civil litigation issues, which include breach of commercial/construction contracts and general corporate law. Stella has represented private individuals and corporate clients in a large number of notable cases over the years. She has had experience in various proceedings at all levels of courts in Malaysia, and currently specialises in the drafting of cause papers for various interlocutory applications under the Rules of Court 2012. She regularly works on pre-action advisory work across a wide range of matters and heads the firm’s internal human resources department where she ensures that the firm continues to carry a culture that complements the firm’s vision and mission.
