After qualifying as a lawyer in New Zealand, Francis Ting was subsequently admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Sabah and Sarawak in Sarawak in 1984, where he initially began his legal career at Loke, King and Company (the predecessor to the current firm). After gaining decades of experience in the legal industry, he returned to the firm in 2024. Throughout his distinguished career, Francis Ting has earned a reputation for providing clients with clear and practical solutions across real estate, commercial, and construction deals. Known for his strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, he is a trusted advisor who consistently delivers successful results for his clients.

Francis Ting has a wealth of experience in handling a wide spectrum of conveyancing transactions including preparing sale and purchase agreements, sublease agreements, and advising on landlord and tenant legal matters. He is also regularly engaged by clients to advise on trusts and wills, where he ensures the effective planning of assets, as well as guiding clients through probate and administration matters with sensitivity and expertise. Francis Ting's practice also extends to advising on bank loan documentation, guarantees and indemnities, and assisting with corporate and commercial transactions, including drafting share sale agreements, business sale agreements and shareholder agreements.

Additionally, Francis Ting has extensive experience in the construction sector and regularly acts as counsel to both developers and contractors to advise on legal issues arising throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. He is experienced in drafting and negotiating construction agreements, development agreements and sub-contract agreements, ensuring his clients' objectives are met whilst safeguarding their legal and financial interests.
