Upon graduating with a First Class Honours in the Bachelor of Arts-Political Science Degree from University of New Brunswick, Canada, Mr. Yong decided to pursue law subsequently as a career and graduated from the University of Buckingham, England, U.K.

Mr. Yong has had more than 25 years of experience as an advocate, representing a range of clients involved in substantial and complex disputes which are resolved with or without resorting to litigation and/or other ADR.  His heavyweight commercial practice includes the specific areas detailed below: Contractual disputes; Defamation and Libel; Native Customary Rights Claims, Admiralty; Landlord and Tenant; Banking and Personal Injuries. His success in several high profile cases in the areas of Building Construction dispute claims and Family law and Succession has made the firm a popular choice for those seeking redress in these areas.  In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Yong also represents parties in arbitration proceedings. In 2014 he was appointed by the Kuala Lumpur Regional Center of Arbitration (KLRCA) as an adjudicator pursuant to CIPAA (Construction Industry Payment Adjudication Act 2012) for Malaysia.

Mr Yong is the Lead Managing Partner of Loke, King, Goh and Partners.
